I recently (like yesterday) went to my third TempSure Evi appointment here. As usual, I was greeted at the door and was assisted almost right away (the patients that entered before me were helped first). The procedure was quick and easy and very relaxing. The results I was looking for were present after each treatment. I noticed an improvement with my vision within 10 minutes after completion. The person I had an appointment with, Jacob, has always been pleasant and punctual with seeing me at the appointment time. He was very knowledgeable with the procedure and answered all of my questions and concerns truthfully. Months ago, I came here for my annual eye exam for the first time because there were no appointments available on post. I’ve NEVER been seen anywhere but on military installations for eye exams so I was a bit nervous and unsure of the process. Making an appointment online was a breeze. When I arrived at the clinic, I was greeted upon entry into the establishment. Everything else went well. The doctor was thorough with the exam and explained everything in depth. He was the one who recommended TempSure Evi for my severe dry eyes. My dry eyes were a large reason for my deteriorating vision. I don’t expect my vision to get to 100 but the treatments did help with my dry eyes which in turn helped my vision. It also helped with minimizing the wrinkles around my eyes (bonus).

Q&A | What is Dry Eye Syndrome?

How do I know if I have Dry Eye?

Dry eye can cause quite a few symptoms, anything from the eyes actually feeling dry to the eyes watering often, or having a burning, itchy, or irritated feeling. One of the most common symptoms is the eyes feeling gritty or like something is in your eye. Most people will often experience blurred vision since the tears, which comprise the outermost surface of the eye, are unstable.

Is there anything I can do to prevent DES?

Dry eye is multi-factorial, and each person’s dry eye is unique to them. To help prevent dry eye, make sure to consume 8 to 10 glasses of water per day to avoid dehydration. Some nutritional supplements, such as fish oil and flax seed oil, can contribute to a more stable tear layer.

Remember to blink regularly and take breaks often when on a computer, cell phone or when watching television. During times of the year when there is less humidity, a humidifier might be helpful to provide more moisture in the air.
